Our Founder

It is said that God is eternal. Yet, again and again, he comes on earth in the avatar of a saint, yogi or a mystic. Those very saints, scholars, and mystics show us humans the way to the beyond and dispel our ignorance and they teach us to live a life of an expression of love, joy, and exuberance. God has blessed satguru to show the world and humanity the right way to be and enlighten us on the path to the divine. His whole life shows his utter devotion for other’s wellbeing, heightened levels of meditation and service for the society.

Swami ji was born 21st of November, 1935 in Sahiwal dist. Sargodha, Pakistan. His mother’s name was Devi Vadhuwanti and father Shree Ram Lal. Since his early childhood, he loved to volunteer for others and do Simran. When he was 6 years old, he cultivated an enthusiasm for being surrounded by saints, sages and being in satsangs. At the age of 9, he started to go to R.S.S. His early education was commenced in the very village he took birth in. But he was more eager to realize himself and know what is the basis of human’s existence than gaining worldly knowledge. In his early age itself, he began to showcase his inner wisdom.

In 1947 when India was divided into two nations India and Pakistan, millions upon millions died and it was a dark time, still, Swami ji was devoted to serving others. In those times he remained in Sargodha, Pakistan with his family. While the nation was torn apart and suffering was all around, people migrating to save their lives, Swami ji was 12 years old at that time and along with his friends he offered food to the refugees and performed the funeral and other rituals for the dead. He resided in Ambala for some time after coming to India.

He began serving the poor who lived in slums along with the help of students from the Ramgarhia Polytechnical College situated in Phagwara. When he came to Ludhiana, for some time he did a job after which he commenced his own business.

In 1954 he took NAM DAAN from his Guru Satya Nand Maharaj ji. After that, he got into intense meditation and became a devotee of Lord Rama, along with Maharaj Ram Prakash Bhramachari Swami ji did many Nobel deeds for the society. In 1957, his longing for taking Sanyasa which led him to the Neelkantha Hills where he resided for 6 months doing intense Sadhana in the hills. While being deeply involved in meditation and Dhyana he had Satguru’s Darshan. Satguru made him realize that Swami ji is born to serve humanity and guided him to return to the material world and perform his share of Sewa to humanity.

On 21st of November, 1975 the Nishkam Sewa Ashram was established. For the wellbeing of humanity, the Vridh Ashram (old age home) and Bal Ashram (Ashram for kids) was set up. So no one has to beg for their food, Swami ji set up a school for the beggar’s children. To make women self-reliant, Swami ji assisted in conducting sewing workshops, fast typing courses. And today the computer center and fashion designing courses have helped women gain a respectable position in society. Free Welfare Hospitals were established so that no poverty-stricken person shall remain without the necessary medications. In this act of service, from time to time Baba Ameet also made his contributions. When Punjab was suffering from riots and protests, Baba Ameet spread the word of love and peace in the society.

In 1956 Swami ji along with Shastri ji spread Lord Rama’s name in the world and did satsangs. When Shastri ji attained Maha Samadhi in 1965 after that Swami ji along with Devotee Hansraj ji spread the word of Ramsharnam.

Swami Ji’s Amrit Bani was made to reach the world. Along with that, his deeds of welfare and service kept on spreading. Marriage services for financially unstable daughters were conducted, rickshaws were donated to the poor, sewing machines were donated to the women in need, and these services kept on going on in the regions of Punjab and Himachal. A small seed that was sown a long time ago now has become a full-fledged tree in the form of Nishkam Ashram.

This is a precious offering from the Saints, Sages, and Mystics to humanity which it will keep on cherishing and be inspired from for ages to come. Swami ji out of his wisdom has written around 40 books in which he spreads love and peace in humanity. Through his work and active volunteering in society, Bhajans and Satsangs people are attaining immense benefits and are getting to have a taste of the divine in their lives.
